Number Row Finger Guide
Use the shared mapping for numbers instead of reaching with whichever finger is nearest.
Left-side numbers
Use the left pinky for 1, ring finger for 2, middle finger for 3 and index finger for 4 and 5. The number row is a reach from the home position, not a new resting position.
Right-side numbers
Use the right index for 6 and 7, middle finger for 8, ring finger for 9 and pinky for 0. Return to the home row after each small group while learning.
Include realistic examples
Practise dates, quantities and short references inside sentences. Read the complete number before typing it when possible. Reversing two digits is a different error from reaching the wrong key.
Watch shifted symbols
Symbols above the number keys use the same character finger with opposite-hand Shift. Keycap symbols vary by layout, so confirm your keyboard before applying the QWERTY examples.

Left-hand characters use Right Shift; right-hand characters use Left Shift. Each Shift key uses its own hand's pinky. Shifted symbols keep the base key's finger assignment.
