Punctuation Key Guide
Learn punctuation with the surrounding words, spaces and capitals.
Unshifted punctuation
Comma uses the right middle finger, period the right ring, and semicolon, apostrophe and slash the right pinky. The shared mapping follows these groups for the related shifted symbols as well.
Shifted punctuation
A question mark uses the slash key with left Shift. A colon uses semicolon with left Shift. Quotation marks use the apostrophe key with left Shift on the referenced QWERTY layout.
Include the surrounding text
Practise a complete sentence with its punctuation. A correct symbol in the wrong position, an omitted closing mark or a missing space still changes the copied text.
Review the kind of mistake
Check whether you missed the key, omitted Shift or lost the reading position. Slow only the unfamiliar sequence, then return to a comfortable sentence rhythm.

Left-hand characters use Right Shift; right-hand characters use Left Shift. Each Shift key uses its own hand's pinky. Shifted symbols keep the base key's finger assignment.
