Reduce Backspace Dependence
Use correction deliberately while learning to recognise a sequence before typing it.
Notice the habit
Frequent immediate corrections can hide the pattern causing the original mistake. Review which sequences make you reach for Backspace rather than judging only the final corrected text.
Slow the uncertain part
Read the full word and make the unfamiliar reach deliberately. There is no need to slow every part of a sentence equally if one transition is responsible for most corrections.
Practise without rushing
Choose a short familiar task and aim to enter each sequence correctly the first time. Keep normal practice correction rules in mind rather than inventing an exam restriction for every activity.
Follow actual exam rules
An exam may allow, limit, penalise or block deletion. Read its displayed rules before starting. Building first-entry accuracy is useful, but it does not replace the instructions for a particular test.
