Exam Typing Guide · 2 MIN READ

Preparing for a 20-Minute Test

Build a steady routine with a common English set or your own custom passage.

Choose your source and duration

Choose one of the 20 common English sets, then select 20 minutes. Alternatively, paste your own text in Custom Exam Typing and set its duration to 20 minutes.

Read the targets and correction rule

Common sets use 35 net WPM and 95% accuracy with Backspace allowed. Custom text uses the targets and Backspace rule you choose. Case, punctuation, spacing and line breaks count in both.

Settle into the timed window

Read and accept the instructions before starting. The timer begins immediately when the typing window opens. There is no pause, restart, typing-area paste or live speed/accuracy feedback.

Review after time ends

Let the test submit automatically after 20 minutes. Review speed, accuracy and errors against the selected practice targets. Exiting early leaves an incomplete attempt. These results are not an official examination qualification.
