Speed-Building Drills
Use short changes of pace within familiar words and sentences.
Warm up with known patterns
Begin with a familiar word set or sentence. Keep the first attempt comfortable so you can notice how the movement feels before changing your pace.
Choose one faster attempt
Repeat a comparable task at a slightly quicker rhythm. Avoid trying to compensate for a difficult word with a frantic burst on the next one.
Review before repeating
Look at accuracy and the recurring mistakes. If a particular word caused a pause, practise that sequence separately and then put it back into the sentence.
Use the existing builder
Speed Builder offers a focused practice route. Use its feedback alongside your own observation of control and rhythm; do not treat a target as permission to ignore the source text.
